'i long, as does every human being,
to be at home wherever i find myself.'
~ maya angelou

the final piece is done and the show's online inventory system is up and running again! green garnet for patience, serenity and peace... bezel base was etched with 'where do you call home, then built upon... i wanted this to be a calming piece and used one of leann's ceramic birds to help achieve that goal...

so now on to the display - i was lent a case, i am not a black velvet kind of girl... nothing against anyone who is, it just isn't me... so i was thinking charcoal linen - and my mom found it for me yesterday!! thanks mom...

yes, it needs to be ironed and all of that , but i am happy to have it... now earring cards! and the resume - it is draining me just thinking about it because i really have nothing to write down...  agh...

hope you have a great day - is it really thursday already?

  1. maire ... wow!! i'm loving your new creations of late. although still very you ...they are also kinda different from your previous ones, i dunno how to describe it. perhaps less "stony" and more "metalish" (of course both these words dun exist but you know what i mean) but then again, they feel like they are trying to tell us something, or you are trying to convey secret code messages in them and hope that someday we'll understand. mayb i should call them "pieces of awakening". tho they might not necessarily look it, they "feel" very very new age ... and the energy is immense! WOW!

  2. oh man! you have tons to write down for a resume! think of all the different techniques and materials you have worked with, and frankly mastered! and prolific writing about jewelry, creativity and art! as well as mastering jewelry photography. running a business. being published, winning design contests...I'm sure there's more I don't even know about! I love what the leather does for the necklace above, and the charcoal linen is perfect.
