synchronicity

i made these a couple of years ago after reading joseph campbell's 'the power of myth'... not intended for sale, i often just need to imprint things in a concrete way... 


the concept has been heavily on my mind... 


via the winding trails of 'blogs i follow', i found lauren luqin and found she honors sattaday ...

as i struggle with my lists and task oriented brain - using their completion somehow as a measure of my worth... check marks allowing me to say i worked today to those who question exactly what i am doing... 


so like many of you, i work every chance i get - daytime, nighttime, weekends, holidays... whenever... 


entitlement can become an issue - even for down time...


in walks sattaday... 


for we are human beings, correct?


not human doings... 


with the utmost sincerity, i hope you find ways to be - with no guilt...

pacing -

this chain, this labor of love, made me realize that i am not rushing the project for saturday... as i am still working out the balance in the design and far too much time has been invested in the components... i have a piece i can submit and i can work on this one feeling confident that it is getting the time it deserves...

the practice of openness...

as the sun set on 2010 i thought of how grateful i was for the opportunities and balance it brought... it was as difficult as it was wonderful... it was beautiful... 


i am not a resolution maker... but a friend made the fine distinction of being resolute (which i very much appreciated)... while reading new year's posts last year i noticed that some people were choosing words - i rather liked that... and so mine was 'nascent' - coming into existence; emerging... it felt right all year and still does - emerging doesn't stop - but i do feel like i got a real toe hold on who i am and what i am doing... 


so many posts were meaningful to me last year - but i have to admit that one was unforgettable... by beth hemmila  & called 'open or closed heart?' , it stuck with me all year... and it is something that i must be mindful of each and every day...
