my man-child was promoted from the eighth grade last night... i adore alex - he and i regularly go back and forth, but we are supposed to... he is kind and loving... he doesn't yet know his potential... but i am trying to show him... the type who doesn't care much for school, frustrates his teachers to tears because they know he can do more, but problems solves real life situations easily, can take things apart or put them together... who thinks outside of the box... sounds like a great start to me! now if we can get him to use a notebook in high school we'll be off to a great start (do not get me started!)...
he would NOT let me get a picture yesterday in his gown... kept putting his hand up so i couldn't get a shot... i caught him because i said i was going out to start the car! ha!
i like this shot - better than a still... i can hear him laughing as he tries to get by me...
'may you grow up to be righteous, may you grow up to be true.
may you always know the truth and see the lights surrounding you.
may you always be courageous, stand upright and be strong.
may you stay forever young.'

love you, a from your always proud mama...
