repeat

'as a single footstep will not make a path on earth,
so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind.
to make a deep physical path, we walk again and again.
to make a deep mental path,
we must think over and over
the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our minds.'
~ henry david thoreau

call it a practice like anything else, it takes perseverance and discipline to live the kind of life you want... to achieve peace, practice peace... over and over and over...

i had thought i couldn't make anything personal this week - it felt too raw... instead, i found i couldn't engage in anything less... that art therapy thing again... and so happy for it...

lovely little bird by leann weih... these birds are really getting around - i have been seeing beautiful designs with them on many blogs... leann has made a connection with her handformed beads... and we are all so grateful! sorry that your studio has been so cold, leann - but not entirely...  who knows if these would have ever come to being? that old bittersweet thing again...

thank you all so much for your thoughts, wishes and hugs this week... they meant so very much, and were very unexpected... my most heartfelt gratitude to you ~

  7. So incredibly moving this piece. And one of my favourite Ghandi wisdoms. I am so honoured to have the little bird be a part of such a heart felt, meaningful piece of art.

  8. This is so sweet! It's hard to find words for it, and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because it feels so meaningful that you've made it in such a difficult time. LeAnn's blue bird bead is very peaceful and content looking, and I think maybe those are grandma and granddaughter beads at the bottom? Very touching.

Blowing kisses and sending hugs your way.
    One of my favorite quote...
"No peace, no God. Know peace, know God."
    Enjoy the day!
