i participated in a cycle art show hosted by the belmar arts council and artscap asbury park... it was small, but had a nice representation of the different kinds of visual arts...
i really loved the sculpture high on the brick wall...
these are mine in the shadow boxes... i was in such a rush getting them in that i didn't take pictures of them completed... the top one is a wall hanging... the bottom one is a necklace with one of nan emmett's hands... i believe i pick them up on friday - so maybe i will take pictures then...
i posted about them semi-finished - or is that started? here...
What a fun show!
ReplyDeleteBicycle always always reminds me of some pop song my daughter liked when she was little.....
"I ride my bike, I........don't drive no car. Don't go too fast but I go pretty far"
Anyway, cool art.
I remember when you were working on those pieces. This looks like a great little show. Sometimes I think small shows are the best. They are more intimate and let you get to know the pieces better.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I used to go for 30 mile bike rides each weekend (10 miles during the week) before we had Zack. I miss it.
ReplyDeleteI want you to go right back up there and take another picture so I can see the finished projects!
ReplyDeleteGood for you MJ, and I agree, want to see the pics of the finished pieces! Hugs, Riki
ReplyDeleteI can remember you posting about these - and now, I want to see a good picture of each of them!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely little show - love the bicycle in the snow!
