one of nick's home teachers is getting married - we have known her for 6 years... and she asked me to make her bridal jewelry... (she is leaving for new orleans tomorrow - that means this has to get finished, um, now...)
for someone i care about, i will work with swarovskis - not that they aren't beautiful, they are... i just don't tend to work with them...
cluster earrings in crystal - no ab to match her dress...
each earring has 33 headpins...
she wants a wide cuff - each of these crystal beads is 15mm wide... there was no triple strand connector (on this kind of time limit) that i could find large enough... i didn't want to taper it down, would take away too much and besides, it wouldn't be a cuff then... so i made a sterling link in order that they could lay side by side... which i now have to dress up - which is why i am stalling and putting up a post... because i hope i can come up with a solution that is pretty enough for the bride...
because you know that i want to use fibers - but that's not her style... darn!
ok, off to work on this -
That is lovely. I know about the crystal thing (and I am a designer for a crystal company!)... I tend to use them sparingly. I think it is very sweet what you are doing. I am sure that you will find just the right touch.
