a cardinal feather -
many a blue jay, sea gull and more neutrally colored feather have been picked up by myself or the kids... but never one that glowed red...
inspired by leaves and trees...
always...
i bring the gifts inside with me - and place them on my bench... feathers, nests, leaves, acorns...
Love these! so beautiful...and now they are going to me mine....xo

ReplyDeleteHi Maire, so great to see your studio below, and making beautiful pieces like the earrings above. You are amazing by the way. I love your textures, your words and your thoughts. Thank you for dropping by, the exchange was really fun. Riki xox
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, beautiful, understated.
ReplyDeleteA cardinal feather - such a rare gift. Love the necklace and the earrings!!! So we are both gatherers - I have little stashes of pods, feathers, pebbles everywhere...
ReplyDeleteMD - you are safe amongst a community of gatherers - nature gives on so many levels; and your earrings are beautiful in the metal working and the design. Lucky Lisa if they are going to be hers. Go well. B
ReplyDeleteYour tiny little copper leaves are amazing. My window sill over my work table is full of little things I find. I have cardinals that visit my bird feeder through out the day. It's right outside my studio. These little gifts from the earth are comforting as they are inspiring.
ReplyDeleteOooooo... now THAT gives me ideas! I'll be in touch soon... fall forest blessings!
