while the world is ever in motion, on this blustery autumn day that fact is gloriously apparent... leaves falling like rain, dancing along the road, flying overhead, forming piles that we sink our feet into...
'climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
the winds will blow their own freshness into you,
and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.'

ReplyDeleteAhhhh, one of my favorites from John Muir, and on what sounds like a picture perfect fall day. So glad you aren't buried in snow. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe earrings remind me of wind chimes. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEvery fall, when I watch the leaves flying through the air, I am reminded of sparks...
Beautiful MJ! Chloe and I had some fun earlier looking through leafs on the ground - picking out some and bringing them inside. Still more to be found tomorrow :) Love the look of your blog too - great job! Those earrings makes music my eyes can see… Wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! Perfect for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteSo apparent are the artistic decisions you have made here too-- the patina in just the right weight to the color of the dangles, flattened vs round, the diagonal element breaks the perfection of the circle, as does the asymmetry of the not-quite-matching beads. And so leaf-like-- green going to gold and red, end of summer, all things die so they can be reborn. Thank you for your insight.
ReplyDeleteMD- as others have reflected - the beauty of falling leaves reflected in the colour and movement of the earrings. B
